Lohr Republic
Lohr republic was once known as one of the most prosperous kingdoms. The queen of Lohr ruled the citizens through her magnificent leadership and gained the favor of all her people. Although, the people often held inhumane matches in the colosseum. They found tradition in having gladiators and soldiers fight wicked beasts to prove themselves worthy. There have been hundreds of reported deaths. Rumors spread that even the queen herself had watched a few matches. Lohr presented itself as a fair country. It took care of less fortunate and hungry. Lohr was also well known for its highly skilled combat training and combat ready warriors. They gave off a fierce and intimidating aura and were highly respected for their tactical army.
Lohr became republic once they went to war with Belsay. The queen had been killed and no royalty to equal her had stood up to take the crown so Lohr was voted to become a republic where the people make the decisions for their country. Lohr has lost its former reputation and is now a quiet country who is a little spiteful of travellers and the other kingdoms.
The deity of Lohr is Venizolus, a large lion who the country proudly kept as their symbol for its reputation of powerful brute strength of which the former Lohr was known for. Venizolus was a powerful god said to have created the deserts himself. Using his powerful strength to create sand dunes. The people of Lohr often pay tribute to him by making replicas of him out of sand and stone.
