A thick layer of fog covered the room. The walls and floor itself seemed completely frozen over in a thick coat of ice. Icicles draped the ceiling and stuck out from the ground. The large room seemed quite open and barren, and up ahead there was a small hallway leading to a large door. But there seemed to be something blocking the entrance, creeping forward. @fawkesian Raphael Kharen Amsus Cardenn

The room itself was pretty chilly, but that was probably obvious considering this was the ice dungeon I'd heard so much about. I entered with Quinn and Raphael, ever so slightly taking a slight look back at them. "Anyone else seeing that door over there?"" I noted the obvious. "Let's wreck these beasts up and get us some gold." I snickered inaudibly and rubbed my hands together. I was only assuming there was something spectacular at the end. There might not even be, but I was an optimist. I was also guessing we'd run into some beasts. There seemed to be something odd by the door.
"C'mon."

"They think this is cold? Try sleeping next to a frost dragon." Raphael snickered as he edged his way further into the room. He was more comfortable on the outskirts, tracing the walls in case something decided to come charging through. Better his comrades dancing around the room than himself. Anxiously he loosened the sword hanging by his side for what felt like the twentieth time. "With an attitude like that, it's remarkable you've survived as long as you have."

Quinn was completely mystified as to how they'd gotten roped into this adventure.
The emperor stared impassively around the room upon entering, a thin cloak of shadows already clinging to their clothing. It was certainly chilly but the almost-tangible darkness kept the temperature slightly at bay.
Having determined that nothing was going to immediately leap out and attack, Quinn headed for the hallway without waiting to see if the other two were following. Better to get this expedition over with quickly.

The shadows near the door were confirmed to be beasts. A hoard, to be exact. Since this dungeon was only one floor the most challenging part of it was well, the beginning. There was about eight of them, two seemed to guard the door while the rest of them attacked. Some beasts were known to guard the treasures beyond the door, while others split into packs and attacked. The remaining six divided into twos and all aimed for one person each.
The first two went directly for Quinn, aiming at him straight on. The other set went after Raphael. One seemed to stay back a bit to wait for any openings while the other aimed for a blow to his arm. The last two went for the last person and circled Amsus. One continued to circle as the other charged forward for an opening near his side.

"Wow, hey there, I'm insulted. I'm quite good if I do say- Haha! See this guy's got the right idea." I followed after Quinn when things started to get a little unsettling. Before we knew it beasts had shown up and I narrowed my eyes. Well, this was to be expected that's to say the least... I pulled out my daggers and watched as they circled me. It was a little difficult to keep my eyes on both of them, but I did my best. One finally decided to make a move and aimed for a side blow. I attempted to cut it off with an attack, trying to knock it back. I then tried to give it a few cuts, hopefully wounding it before the other one decided to make a move.

He was backed against the wall when the beasts came for him, but luckily Raph was scrappy enough to use such things to his advantage. When the first beast lunged he leaped straight up, tucking his knees to the chest. Placing them on the wall behind him, he spring-boarded off and flew over his two opponents, landing in a messy roll.
The man sprung to his feet, sword already drawn as the second beast ran for him. Refusing to withdraw, he stepped into the attack and lunged his sword forward.

The Setunoir representative tensed and half-turned upon being called a guy. They had intended to introduce a knife to Cardenn's throat, or perhaps his eyes, but unfortunately a horde of beasts chose that moment to interrupt. Quinn blinked in surprise before reacting.
They vanished into a swirling mass of shadows, seeming to melt away in an instant. The duo of beasts was left to crash through the empty space where Quinn had been standing only moments before. Hoping to catch their opponents off-guard, Quinn threw a knife towards one beast in an attempt to slow it down. As for the other, Quinn aimed to slash at its neck with a poisoned dagger. These creatures were no more than pests, and would be treated as such.

The beast aiming for Amsus was cut off, and blown back by a hit, and it met the ground. Attempting to get up, it was greeted with a series of slashes from the man's daggers. It struggled to get back up, but managed. The one still standing it's ground tried to catch Amsus while he was distracted with the wounded beast. It tried to attack one of his legs to make him lose balance. The wounded one sprang towards him, jaws open for a wide bite.
The beasts watched as Raphael made a daring dodge. They darted after him, one of them lunged forward, and was heading straight towards his sword, not aware that it was basically going to impale itself. The second one, not so clumsy, moved away and aimed away from the sword trying to find an opening at Raphael's side.
The two beasts had indeed crashed into each other, but shook off the collision. One of the beasts received a dagger to it's leg, causing it to tumble onto the ground. The one who received a poison dagger to the throat let out a terrifying screech and stumbled backwards. It crashed onto the ground, convulsing slightly. The poison began to slowly kill it. The other beast with the dagger still in it's leg, rose to it's feet and charged once more at Quinn, aiming to hit them from behind. It was hoping for a bit of a surprise attack.

I looked over at Raphael. He seemed to be handling himself fine. I looked over at Quinn. They seemed to be doing okay too. They'd already seemingly taken down one of the beasts. I felt one hit my leg, and I tripped, stumbling onto my butt. The other one sprang forward on top of me but I'd had my daggers ready, and impaled it in the chest. I kicked it off me with my good leg.
The other one was still attached to my other leg and I tried to kick it off with my free one. I grabbed onto my leg, and sent a bit of fire it's way to scare it off. I then tried to lunge towards it and cut it's stomach.
